Nellmapius Primary School Library Project's PledgePage
Dear Family and Friends,
It has been about three months since the opening of the new Nellmapius Library. As time passes, we have realized that we have become more reluctant to write this letter. It is as if we are afraid to close this beautiful chapter in our life; for it was a period of time (3 months to be exact) that allowed for us and the children of Nellmapius Primary to see the potential of this world when one opens to giving.
Over 97+ donations from individuals, families, schools and organizations from 4 continents not only believed in our dream of building a library but recognized one of the many necessities of South African schools: books. As a result of your compassion, on July 18, 2007, Nelson Mandela’s Birthday, Nellmapius Primary students in a school-wide assembly celebrated the opening of the NEW NELLMAPIUS LIBRARY thanks to monetary contributions ($7,543.17) and book donations!
We hope that this is only a great beginning to what will come for Nellmapius library and that in the near future the library will one day have a full set of books.
